from oblivion to total resurrection

i was handed an old raleigh alpha sport mixte frame that looked like it belonged in a bin , all the original parts were utterly destroyed , apart from the frame, fork, mudguards, rack and dynamo system , i couldn't bring myself to bin it , the frame and fork were straight and true and so i decided to bring it back to life , and here it is ,

i will be fitting a honey Brooks flyer's' , honey grips and a small dia compe ene front rack over the coming months .
its no lightweight but its only about 1 pound heavier than a 531 framed mixte and given that low weight is of no priority to me (within reason !) this simple mega mass produced bike from the eighties rides beautifully and looks like it just rolled out a showroom with its new paint ,i am very happy with how she turned out .
